At the Car Wash!
Share
Ok, my goal is to use this blog to share things that send me over the moon, so let's talk errands here. Everybody has to do them; few people enjoy doing them. One of the worst for me is washing the car. To be honest, I hate washing the car so much, it has been over 2 years since I got it done! However, I moved to the beach and consequently, had enough sand in my car to start building my own sandcastle! So off to Google I went to find car washes near me.
Now, a word here: I hate car washes. I lost a hubcap in one where you had to align your wheel in it just right so it could automatically pull you through the wash and I lost a wiper blade on another automatic one when I forgot to turn off my automatic wiper blades! So, if I can, I prefer the power wash stalls or better yet, having someone else do it, but detailing is out because it is so expensive!
Enter my new hero: Calabash Car Wash. You pull into their bay, tell them what level you want, and they clean you up and send you out to the parking lot to get dried off and vacuumed out. It was fast, friendly, and at $40 for my full size, very sandy van, not bad at all! I highly recommend them!
And just so I can work a picture into this post, let me tell you about my new favorite restaurant. It's called Melt and oh my! If you like gooey, they got you! I had their bacon onion dip and a turkey Ruben, and it was hands down the most flavorful meal I have had anywhere in a long time. I don't know what they did to their turkey, but it had just a hint of spice to it, so it was not your mama's boring deli meat sandwich! And that dip- ooh! 5 stars all the way around! Service was good and the ambiance was ok, but their food was fantastic!
