Breaking Benjamin

I have been in love with this band for almost- ALMOST- 20 years. Don't make me older than I am! I love their hard-driving instrumentals combined with gritty- but not screaming!- vocals. And hey- they got a nice beat and I can dance to it (because I AM that old...anyone else???) So seeing them live in concert had long been on my bucket list...and now I can scratch that one off!
The venue was the First bank Amphitheater in Franklin, TN. It was beautiful! An old stone quarry remade to a concert venue worked perfectly. Parking in the field was free, easy and convenient and since the seats were benches, my big butt could fit with no problems. So, I would definitely give the venue an A.
The opening band was one that I had never heard of- Another Days Dawn. They had a great sound- reminded me a lot of Korn.
They were followed by Bush. For some reason, I completely blanked on this band- until I heard that the lead singer was Gavin Rossdale and then it was like- OH! BUSH! Love me some Glycerine! Plus, I found out that the friend I went with had been in a band in her younger days and sang some of their cover songs- score one for fun facts to know! Us librarians are a deep and mysterious pool!
And then...it was time! Now, it wasn't perfect. For the beginning of May, it was getting chilly. And I had to move to some empty seats across the way because the people in front of me were wayyyy toooo drunk and tall to make my viewing a pleasure. But Breaking Benjamin rocked! They did all the songs I loved. The moon was out and my heart was full!
