It's a Hard Rock Life

My first recommendation from this past week is the Grumpy Monk. I went there with some family while we are out doing holiday activities, and it was pretty good. Cute atmosphere, helpful staff, good food- although, mostly of the bar/greasy variety. They did have a build-your-own salad option I kinda wish I had gone with, but the loaded tater tots I had instead were very cheesy, so I can't complain! The best part was that they happened to be doing a trivia night and it happened to be about Disney, so my table- even though we were not officially playing- rocked it! Here's one of my teammates...
The second place I rather enjoyed was the Hard Rock Cafe. Being a child of the 80's, I have visited many Hard Rocks, but mostly for the swag, not really the food. However, we had our employee Christmas party there and they catered and even though, again, it was basically bar food, it was really pretty good, higher quality bar food. Tasty sliders, great onion rings, and very good fries. Plus, again, it was a nice airy environment, the staff was super friendly and my sister enjoyed the dance floor!
And finally, hats off to Petsmart who were kind enough to give us pet parents a chance to do what actual parents get to enjoy this time of year- a visit with Santa Claus! I don't know if Clifford got to tell him everything he wanted this year, but I do know the man himself was super kind and helpful and my little doggy loved the chance to be out and meet new people. But ummm....he did kind of blend in with Santa's beard....
